I am constantly fascinated by how people interact and react to products and services around them. With a background in Industrial design and a deep-rooted interest in user experience research, I understand the importance of each decision that goes behind making an idea come to reality.
I am currently a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Integrated Innovation Institute where I’m studying how design, business and technology can be leveraged to strategize and solve complex real world problems. The combination of my undergrad and current studies allow me to investigate and systematically break down issues in a comprehensive way. Which results in joining the dots to form solutions that are simple, effective and executable.
Lastly, I am a detail nerd and thorough person who does not like leaving loose ends.

As a group of 5 designers, we took part in the Amsterdam Lights Festival, 2019. The theme was "When nature calls".
Our concept: Arise
ARISE interprets the theme ‘When Nature Calls’ as an act of connection between disparate parts of one system - Nature. ARISE is a tree of light installed on the ‘Dirk van Nimwegenbrug’. Its roots are placed under the bridge, while the trunk and canopy are above. Motion sensors pick up the movement of water caused due to boats and trigger pulses in the LED lights that are present from root to canopy.

Game design crits and design banter.
Things get lost in my brain as easily as they do in my bag. Starting off with this little experiment to see if a thought or a few sentences from a day can enrich and better store and organize things in my brain.
